On May 13, Baotong Technology Co., Ltd. (300031.SZ) confirmed it has signed a partnership agreement with Unitree Robotics, focusing on the secondary development of industrial quadruped robots. These robots have already been tested in steel and power plant environments, with successful implementation of gas and liquid leak detection in steel factories. Strong downstream demand is reported.

The partnership marks a major step in Baotong’s “AI + Industry” strategy. The company plans to expand functions such as inspection, roller monitoring, dust detection, and temperature sensing, aiming for commercial applications within 2024. Baotong also introduced a flexible “hardware rental + pay-per-use” service model to reduce customer procurement costs.

Baotong executives recently visited Unitree’s headquarters for deeper collaboration, including customized R&D and industrial solutions. The robots will be integrated into Baotong’s unified platform for intelligent inspection, remote digital twins, and hazardous task automation.

Baotong’s 2024 revenue was ¥3.3 billion, with net profit doubling to ¥210 million. However, Q1 2025 revenue and net profit saw year-on-year declines, reflecting broader sector challenges.
